Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals

6 Hours - $125.00

Topics Covered Include:

  • Developing a Personal & Home Protection Plan

  • Self-Defense Firearms Basics

  • Defensive Shooting Fundamentals

  • The Legal Use of Force

  • Violent Encounters & Their Aftermath

  • Gear & Gadgets

  • Basic & Advanced Skills

  • One hour of one-on-one on the range with an instructor

Class Summary
This class, developed by the USCCA, is a premium concealed carry and home defense class that exceeds the Oregon and Utah Concealed Carry Permit training requirements. You’ll walk away with an understanding of conflict avoidance and situational awareness; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and why it’s important to have a legal and financial backup plan if you are ever forced to defend yourself. Owning or carrying a firearm is about taking personal responsibility for our safety and the safety of our loved ones, and recognizing that we are our first responder. It’s time to take that responsibility seriously.

If you wish to obtain your concealed handgun license (CHL), this is the class you’ll need to take.

We recommend that students take the Intro to Handgun course first if they do not have handgun experience.

Classroom material does include Utah’s concealed carry requirements so that when you complete this class, you can also apply for your Utah permit, which is recognized in at least 36 states.
